Roller Sports' Proposal ... and How the Sport Compares to Others

The Olympic proposal of the International Federation of Roller Sports calls for eight track events:

- Men's and women's 300 meter time trial
- Men's and women's 500 meter sprint
- Men's and women's 5000 meters race
- Men's and women's 20,000 meter elimination race

The alternate proposal calls for eight road circuit events:

- Men's and women's 200 meter time trial
- Men's and women's 500 meter sprint
- Men's and women's 20,000 meter elimination race
- Men's and women's marathon

Proposed number of athletes: 72 (36 men/36 women)

Number of days needed in Olympic compound: Three -- one day for practice; two for races.

Total number of world championships held (men's and women's are counted separately):
