Racing News: Inliner Claims Ice Gold Canadian Olivier Jean, a sometimes inline skater, won the 500-meter event at Sunday's short track ice World Cup in Montreal. Finishing just behind him in second was teammate Francois-Louis Tremblay, who also competed last summer on inline skates. "I did it, I made it to the top of the podium," a jubilant Jean told the Canadian Press after his victory. Jean, 22, trained and raced last summer on inline skates and was sponsored by Bont North America. He won the Wolverine Inline Marathon in May and finished fourth in the Saint Paul Inline Marathon in August. Former junior world champion Jordan Malone provided Team USA with its best finish of the event: a second in the 1000 meters.
