A Great EsSkate - A line of skaters, complete with police escort, roll through Miami during the weekend's Great EsSkate. Among the attendees was Planet columnist Kathy McSparran, a regular at the annual skate weekend. "We had two glorious days of perfect weather (Friday and Saturday)," she told us. "And then there was a cold snap. I went down to the lobby Sunday morning, and the door opened, and this blast of cold air came through the room. It was about 40 degrees. I turned right around and went back to bed." But the cold didn't ruin her trip, she says. "I would have had a great time even if it rained all weekend. For me, what the Great EsSkate is all about is connecting with friends."
