Chad Hedrick, the winningest skater in inline history, married his girlfriend of several years Saturday during a private ceremony in his hometown of Spring, TX. Hedrick, 30, met his bride, Lynsey Adams, on the Internet. She later cheered him from the stands as he won a gold medal in longtrack ice at the 2006 Winter Games in Turin, Italy. During his celebrated career as an inline racer, Hedrick won 50 world championship titles. He was also credited with inventing (or at least popularizing) the double-push.
He switched to ice speed skating in 2002 after watching, on TV, as fellow inline skater Derek Parra won a medal at the Salt Lake City Winter Olympics. Hedrick gained celebrity during the 2006 Winter Games but then faded from the limelight. The Style Network filmed his wedding for an upcoming episode of the reality show "Whose Wedding Is It Anyway," which is expected to air in the fall. ...
